AccuTite (AT), FaceTite (FT) and BodyTite (BT) are directional radiofrequency (RF) devices which, together with their companion device the Morpheus 8 radiofrequency needling, are used on The Bodytite RF and The Embrace RF platforms developed by InMode.
These devices have been developed as a surgical tool to deliver surgical type results on the face, neck and body (lifting, tightening, resurfacing) but without surgery. These treatments bridge an important gap that existed until now for the great many patients who are not yet ready for surgery but who need more than the available non-surgical treatments.
AccuTite, FaceTite and BodyTite are minimally invasive procedures, performed painlessly under local anaesthetic, with slim cannulas that are introduced under the skin to deliver RF energy in a novel way to all levels from the deep fat layers where tightening is desired, to the subdermal layers for 3-dimensional contraction and lifting/tightening, into the dermis itself for skin firming and additional collagen production, and in the superficial dermis as a radiofrequency fractional resurfacing for improving skin tone, sun damage and fine lines.
We can do all of this by applying the RF energy in exactly the dose required precisely and directly at the level where it is needed to be the most effective. To date this has not been possible because RF could only be applied externally, thus limiting its effectiveness.
We can achieve contraction, tightening and contouring of the deeper tissues as well as the skin itself, resulting in excellent results not previously achievable without surgery.
This new technology is very sophisticated and advanced with several safety mechanisms embedded in the system to minimise the risk to the patient, making the treatment not only more effective but safer as well.
AT, FT and BT are most commonly used to tighten and contour the face, neck and body, in particular the jowls, under the chin, turkey neck, around the armpit area (‘bra folds”), stomach (including “mummy-tummy”), chest (male and female), back folds, hip and thigh, knees, ankles, arms. In fact, these devices can be utilised with great results in just about any area of the body that causes concern.
The difference between the AT, FT and BT is the size of the handpiece being used, their technology is otherwise similar. The AT is the smallest handpiece with a short and fine cannula no bigger than an injecting cannula used with fillers. It is used predominantly for the face and for small areas that need refining. The BT is the longest and is selected for larger body areas such as the abdomen and hips where greater reach is required.
All the above-mentioned areas can be treated, and most people are suitable for treatment. However, there are some contraindications to treatment with RF.
A medical consultation is therefore essential for exclude contraindications to RF such as if you have a pacemaker or other implants and medical conditions. In such cases we will discuss alternative treatment options with you.
The treatment will provide immediate skin and deeper tissue tightening. After the treatment you will notice tissue tightening, improved contouring and improved skin texture, however, the good news is that results continue to develop progressively over the following weeks and months! There is well-documented evidence that the tightening and contraction of tissues continues for 12 months or more.
What is even more exciting is that all evidence from overseas experience indicate that because we are producing positive structural changes both under and in the skin the results are very long-lasting, in the order of a number of years!
The procedure is minimally invasive, there is no cutting or stitching involved. It involves inserting a very fine radiofrequency cannula under the skin to reach the target tissues. Because of this we routinely perform the procedure under anaesthesia with or without sedation for additional comfort.
There is usually very little bruising afterwards but swelling may be significant for a number of days, particularly if sensitive areas of the face such as the eyelids and lips are treated, so timing of the procedure for treating these areas may need to be considered.
A proportion of the result can be seen immediately, however it takes several months to see the full outcome. We advise by three months you will see 80% of your improvement, but that there will be continued remodelling and visible improvement occurring for 12 months or more post-procedure.
